Dr. Jean Yu

Dr. Jean Yu, MD, completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. She received her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and her OBGYN residency was complete at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Yu has a range of professional special interests, including: High-risk obstetrics, preconception counseling, birth control options, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, abnormal bleeding, pregnancy options, MonaLisa Touch and more. She has also explored a range of research areas such as evaluating outcomes of prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission in Uganda and clinicians perspectives on less frequent routine gynecologic examinations.

In her free time, Dr. Yu enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends. She loves to run, rock climb, travel and can often be found at farmer’s markets looking for new healthy recipes.

I enjoy meeting with patients and strive to provide them with the highest quality of medical care possible.
